I watched them, sitting there across the street from me.
The mother, who was leaning away, smiling. The daughter, sitting across form the mother, who appeared to be writing something down. And the little boy who, unlike the other two, was staring at me.
I smiled back; a half-smile. It made me a little uncomfortable that he was staring straight at me.
But then again, you’re staring at him. Fair’s fair. You stare at him, he stares at you.
I turned away, grimacing.
